Reynie was our Domino. He is the puppy that most resembles hid dad Ino and his aunt Maze. I feel he was the puppy with adventure in his blood and a sparkle in his eye. I feel he will grow up and do amazing things <3

"Alexandra is Reynies owner, and she shared some thoughts about him at the age of 7 months old:
" Reynie is the best dog we could ever wish for. Before him, we never even knew a pup could be this gentle and understanding, not to mention smart and balanced. He's always been balanced and that's mainly thanks to Ana and the way she raises her pups, and as time went by all of her hard work paid off for both Reynie and us, but now that we are in his teenage period, it's amazing to see how balanced he still is.
Indoors he's learned his routine so he is always calm, up for a good chew or a nap. He's learned that in the mornings and evenings is when most of the fun happens since we take him to the park for sessions of 2-4 hours (combined) of walkies and play each day so by now he's learned to anticipate what happens when and settles nicely in between sessions. So nicely that sometimes you forget there's a dog in the house :))
He is a very loving dog and the bond created between him and dog dad is one of the most beautiful experiences we've been blessed with so far. Once that connection was established every process that used to be tedious in the 1st few weeks since he got home became a natural part of our routine. From baths to brushing, nail clipping, and so on. Once Reynie understood that we are his pack now and felt safe, he relaxed completely and everything started flowing naturally.
Thanks to him we can now vouch for the fact that DOGS SMILE. You should have seen him in the first two weeks of bringing him home when we were not allowed to get him out of the tiny apartment we are living in. It was difficult for us to exhaust his energy indoors and we could notice him being slightly frustrated all this time. On the first day we took him outside his entire demeanor and mimic changed. You could see the happiness in his eyes. He was ecstatic to visit the forest nearby and at the end of his first walk outside he had a huuuuuge smile on his face. It's hard to explain all the feelings that we were all experiencing that day and he kept his smile on ever since.
One of the most important parts of the journey was Ana's unconditional support and availability. I remember that on the day we took Reynie home we needed her support because once he was done with his chewy he realized what was going on and started crying and we didn't know how to get him out of that state so she explained what we had to do step by step, she even gave us options and she was going through a very hard day herself yet she was there for Reynie as she is for all of her pups.
We actually needed her a couple of times that day and she always delivered. If anything, she over-delivers. That's how much she loves each pup and how involved she is to make sure she sets everyone up for success. We are first-time puppy parents, and we did not grow up around dogs so our experience was pretty limited as far as raising a dog goes. We needed her support countless times across these past 5 months and she was always responsive, no matter what went on in her life. I swear, I don't know how she does it. I sometimes suspect she is of alien origin. :)) I bet her friends have something to do with that too ;). I hear they are pretty awesome. Thankfully we've gotten to the point where we are less needy but the mere thought that there's someone out there, that you have a support system in case of an emergency, is of great relief to us.
We also took her advice and started training Reynie early, taking him to Puppy Classes and later on to Baby Dog Sports Classes and he loved them. He was always so excited to see his sisters there and all the friends he's made along the way. If you can take your pup to such classes, please do. You won't regret it and your pup will thank you for it. Heck, a few months down the road you'll be thanking yourself. He's always been a great puppy but these classes provided so much more structure and enhanced his thinking ability and creativity in ways we could have never done on our own. Thanks to proper socialization he grew up to be a nonconfrontational dog, without 1 aggressive bone in his body. He always allows other dogs from the park to drink from his bowl and waits his turn even if he is really thirsty, he shares his toys, his humans :)) and is always up for a good play session no matter the size or energy of the dog he meets.
He is so accustomed to life on the road that staying in his crate in the car comes naturally to him. He settles nicely inside busy restaurants and cafes or alone in his pen during the day or at night. There's really nothing negative I can say about Reynie plus if anything goes wrong it's always you, never the dog. They are like an unwritten book waiting for you to fill its pages with stories, learnings and experiences. If something goes wrong it means you either didn't pay attention to what the pup is trying to communicate, either you need to be more consistent with training, or simply understand that he is going through different phases and needs you to be patient, understanding and perseverant.
He's such a good dog that my husband and I are afraid to get another one from Ana because we wonder if it's even possible for another one as calm and balanced as Reynie to come to us. Either way, we will probably take that chance in a couple of years. We think he'd love to have a companion to share all his adventures with and after going through the Lighthouse Aussies experience we honestly cannot imagine getting a puppy from anyone else.
In the meantime, we are trying to enjoy this little wonder pup as much as we can and hope to make his journey with us as happy as it can be. After all, we are each other's world now. We wish you all had a Reynie in your life. " - Thank you for there wonderful words !
